Dr Terence Moodley was determined to become an engineer and to follow his fathers footsteps was held back by his fathers words “my son , engineering is not for you. You should use your technical skill in the health sector . You will be more comfortable.” His interest in dentistry, sparked by his own experience as a teenager having orthodontics, soon became his passion. Never shy to acknowledge true beauty or a tasteful design, his fine eye combined with painful perfection has created some gorgeous smiles. Terence obtained his Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Pretoria and continued expanding his knowledge by completing a diploma in oral facial surgery and aesthetic dentistry. He began private practice and soon realised the role of technology in the modern dental practice. He further qualified himself as an internationally certified Cerec trainer, teaching other dentists the art of CAD/CAM Dentistry. He is also an international trainer for CBCT ( Cone Beam Computed Tomography ) He expanded his interests and skills into Implantology . He has attended numerous courses internationally on placement of dental implants ( guided surgery ) , presented at various conferences on the restoration of dental implants using CAD CAM . Having a mechanical mindset he helped different dental companies develop their components for implants . Having a 16 year old as a son keeps him busy, attending all the extra curricular activities and enjoying fatherhood is his priority. Other interests include cooking, good wine, painting , sketching and photography. His passion about dentistry, dedicated to delivering his best meticulously makes him one of the most sought after dentists in the industry by his peers and his patients.
